“It is an honor to serve you as the Sheriff of Haywood County and I am grateful for this privilege. I believe that the sheriff’s office is an office of the people. The Office of the Sheriff represents all people who live or visit Haywood County. My deputies and I are here to serve you by providing professional law enforcement services. One of our most important goals is to provide the level of customer service expected by citizens today. We work closely with the other agencies in our county to improve the quality of life for our citizens. The efforts of the Sheriff’s Office, combined with your involvement is key to successfully keeping Haywood County a safe place to live, work and raise our families. In conclusion, I want to humbly express my sincere appreciation for your support of law enforcement and the Haywood County Sheriff’s Office.”

Our commitment is to build trust with every citizen we come into contact with, more especially those who have called on our office in need of assistance. We will build that trust by conducting our business professionally in an ethical and integrity-based way. Our goal is to provide a high level of safety for our citizens so they can enjoy their community and their everyday life.

We will bridge the gap of what our citizens’ perception is of law enforcement as we conduct our business they have called us for in a professional and efficient manner, providing service, education and timely information.

BUSTED‼️Over the past four weeks, Deputies with the Haywood County Sheriff’s Office have made several arrests involving the trafficking and possession of Heroin, Fentanyl & Methamphetamine. The following individuals have been charged. Our office will continue to suppress crime and bring perpetrators before a court of law affording all due process. PRESS RELEASEJanuary 30, 2023, Waynesville, North Carolina – A Haywood County Grand Jury returned indictments on Noah Journey McKinnley Bolden, 26 of Canton, NC, for First Degree Murder and on Jeanie Bolden, 57 of Canton, NC, for Accessory After The Fact to First Degree Murder. Those indictments have been served and both are being held in the Haywood County Detention Center. Noah Bolden is being held on NO bond and Jeanie Bolden is being held on a $1,050,000.00 bond. In our system of Justice, persons charged with crimes are presumed to be innocent unless and until they are found guilty in a court of law. This heartless crime has impacted our community and we appreciate the patience of our citizens. We understand our community has had questions surrounding this case. Preparing a case of this magnitude takes time and diligence to ensure that details are accurate and nothing is missed.
